Edge Crush Test is a new standard that has achieved a widespread acceptance. It is considered as being a true performance test and is directly related to the stacking strength of a carton. ECT value represents the edgewise compressive strength of corrugated board. It is measured in ponds per linear inch (lb/in) and usually reported as ECT value (Ex: 40 ECT).
